Location is one consideration when choosing an agency; the delivery process also needs to be clear. The Turkish counterpart discusses Osmaniye. These questions can be used for local or remote engagements.
Checklist
- Which comparable project did you deliver, and what was your actual role?
- Which files, pages or campaigns will the first phase deliver?
- Who supplies copy, images and product information?
- How are in-person and remote meetings arranged?
- Who is responsible for communication, decisions and approval?
- How are revisions and scope changes handled?
- Who owns the accounts, domain and source files?
- How are media spend, agency fees and external costs separated?
- Who checks mobile usability, forms, links and tracking before launch?
- Which business decisions will reports and meetings support?
- What is included in maintenance, fixes and urgent requests?
- How are files and access handed over when the engagement ends?
Practical example
A project may combine an on-site shoot with remote web development. Travel, meeting format and approval responsibility should be separate items in the proposal.
Decision standard
Compare the same deliverables and responsibilities across agencies. An unclear scope cannot be assessed through the total price alone.
